Waxing
Waxing is a hair removal method which is becoming a thing of the past. Nowadays, there are new and improved, less painful ways in which we can rid the body of unwanted hair. Waxing is a cheap, convenient, short- lasting solution. Generally, there are two types of waxes: hot and cold. Hot wax is warmed up in a container slightly above your regular body temperature then spread over the skin lightly. A soft, cloth strip is applied to the area with pressure and torn off rapidly removing the wax as well as pulling any hairs or dead skin from the region. Afterwards, the skin is smooth to touch and may be a little irritated similar to mild sunburn.
Cold wax is not as common and sold in drug stores or beauty supply stores ready for use the instant you purchase it. Cold wax comes pre- coated on the strip and works the same fashion as hot wax. Either method creates a stinging sensation which many do not find to be so pleasant. Waxing is not for everyone. For some it may not be recommended at all. This due to those suffering from poor circulation prescribed certain medications and poor acne conditions just to name a few.
After waxing, it is safe to say you will see re-growth within three to six weeks. In some cases, this time may be dependent upon the actual person for each individual is unique. Wax can be applied to the face, bikini area, underarms, legs, brows or even your neck. The cost for hot waxing varies on the location (spa/salon) where an expert conducts the method and professional fees will be charged. Cold waxing can cost as little as $20 or less. However, there are some home waxing kits equipped with the container used for melting and warming the wax you can purchase for around $80 plus work just as well.
